Margaux Leffas-Lopes

Margaux Leffas-Lopes from San Diego, California, received her early dance training at San Diego Dance Centre starting at the age of 4, where she studied tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical under the direction of Sharon Keller, Michelle Minor, Kristen Hibbs, and Lynn-Rae Hiers. Margaux competed with San Diego Dance Centre from ages 6 to 18 and assisted under the direction of Sharon Keller since age 11. Margaux spent countless hours in technique classes along with practicing routines in preparation for competitions. In order to defray the cost of many lessons, Margaux assisted with mentoring younger classes and therein discovered her passion for teaching dance. Margaux danced on the varsity team under the direction of Tiffani Francy at Rancho Bernardo High School from freshman through senior years and competed as well. Margaux choreographed many tap and jazz routines for her high school dance team and received awards for her strong technique four years in a row. Margaux earned an Associates Degree in Dance from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California where she studied under the direction of Linda Sohl-Ellison (who worked with many professionals including Eddie Brown and Gregory Hines) and Jose Costas (Hispanico Ballet). Margaux graduated in May 2015 from the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program in Dance at University of Nevada at Las Vegas under the direction of Louis Kavouras, member of the Hawkins original Modern dance company, Victoria Dale, a main dancer in the film,“The Oz”, and lastly Dolly Kelepecz previous member of both Los Angeles Ballet and Houston Ballet. Represented by Trio Talent Agency, Margaux is pursuing her professional dance career while working at three dance studios in Southern California: The Talent Factory Dance Studio and Gymnasium, Dance Star Academy of Performing Arts, and now, Temecula Dance Company.
