Carrie Sappenfield
Carrie’s love for dance began as a young child. Although jazz is her favorite style of dance, she also has extensive training in tap, ballet, lyrical and gymnastics. She credits her training to Julie Rhoton, Keri LeGrand, and Ray Leeper while training at Inspirations Performing Arts Center and The Edge. Her love for teaching dance began at Temecula Dance Company in 1998. Previously, Carrie enjoyed teaching competition teams and all levels of jazz. She currently teaches the Father Daughter dance at TDC’s recital. Her choreography and teams have been recognized throughout the years through choreography awards and top honors in the Top 10 and National Dance-Offs. Her students can be seen in national commercials, the Just Dance video games, and the musical, Billy Elliot. While receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Adolescent Studies, Carrie also competed on CSU Fullerton’s national award-winning dance team and was awarded dance team member of the year. In addition, she completed her Master’s Degree and earned a second credential as a reading specialist. She currently teaches fifth grade and is mom to two kids named Andrew and Lilly.
