Sherrie Brush
Sherrie comes to us with many years
of teaching experience. She started dancing at the
age five at Jerry Singer Dance Studio in Covina. She
danced throughout high school and college and also was on
a gymnastics team. Beyond ballet, tap, jazz, musical
theater and lyrical, her dance experience also includes Hawaiian,
Tahitian, Siamese and Polynesian. She performed and
traveled with a Hawaiian Dance Troop. Sherrie owned
and operated her own studio, Future Talent Dance Studio for
twenty-five years. During this time she continued dance
training at Alan Currier Dance Academy, Roland Depree Dance
Academy, Tremaine Dance Academy, Steven Pecks and Al Gilbert
Academy of Dance. Sherrie has attended dance seminars
throughout California and New York. While in New York,
she took classes at 34th Dance Academy and attended the following
yearly seminars; Dance Olympus, Dance Caravan, Tremaine,
Dupree LA, Dance Magic and Al Gilbert. Sherrie started “Class
Act Dance Company” which competed for twenty years
at all competitions. Her company received many top
awards including Top Choreography, Top Tap Studio, Teacher
Awards and many more. Many of Sherrie’s students
have gone on to work in the field of dance to include Clipper
Girls, Super Bowl Half Time Shows, Disney’s Video Company
and in off Broadway plays. She has judged many competitions
in fifteen different states within the United States. She
has worked for Hannah Barbara as Papa Smurf, Yogi Bear and
Huckleberry Hound. In 2001 she sold her dance studio
and moved to Temecula. She has been teaching at TDC
for five years. She has been married thirty-seven
years and has three wonderful children and seven wonderful
grandchildren. Her daughter is Deanna Ciotti
who is also an instructor at TDC. She loves teaching
at TDC, sewing, grandchildren and traveling.
