Ludmil Boubbov is a Master's level classical ballet instructor.
He has a professional teaching certificate from the Vaganova Academic Choreographic School (LAHU) in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia.
In this institution, he had intensive study under Valentina Vasilievna Rumianceva, a student of the renowned Agripina Jacob Vaganova. In preparation for this career pathway, Ludmil graduated from the National Choreographic School in Sofia Bulgaria. He received additional training and education in the ”Kirov ballet” under the internationally recognized ballet Professor, Mr. A.I.Pushkin –teacher of Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Ludmil was appointed Principal Dancer with the State Opera in Varna, Bulgaria, and danced lead roles in such ballets as “Giselle”, “Les Sylphides”, “Romeo and Juliette”, “Coppelia”, “Spartacus”, “The Fountain of Bakhchisarai”, and more. He was a participant in the first Moscow International Ballet Competition along with Baryshnikov and other internationally known ballet dancers. Ludmil Boubbov was awarded the Bronze Medal in the International Ballet Competition in Varna. He had a 4 year contract in West Berlin as a soloist with the "Deutshe oper" performing in "Swan Lake", "Coppelia",”Four temperaments” to name a few. Boubbov worked as a training master and rehearsal director with Theater Des Westerns and performed in the musicals -“West Side Story”, “Oklahoma”, “Showboat” and many others. He danced for ten years as a soloist with the National Opera Ballet in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ludmil has worked under greats such as George Balanchine, J. Grigorovich, Oleg Vinogradov, and Alicia Alonso. He has worked with Leonard Bernstein, Oscar Hammerstein, Maia Pliseckaja, and Natalia Makarova.
Ludmil has been teaching throughout the world and the USA for 35 years and some of his students have become internationally known dancers.
