Colette Maranda
Colette has been dancing since the age
of nine and teaching dance for fourteen years. She started
assisting in classes when she was in junior high and started
teaching in high school. She has training in ballet,
tap, and jazz. Her experience includes dancing with many
performing groups. She has had roles in Cats, Beauty
and the Beast, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, and Phantom of the
Opera. She started competing in dance competitions when she
was fourteen. In addition to her love of dance, Colette earned
her Masters Degree in Elementary Education and has taught
kindergarten for eleven years. She is a reading specialist
and has had extensive training in teaching language arts. She
was named Teacher of the Year in 2004. When she is
not dancing, Colette loves to do her business of Bella Production
on the side. She makes DVD montages and sells dance
wear. She is also the proud mother of two beautiful
daughters. She loves working with children and can't
imagine any other profession.
